{ABOUT ME}
I am an artist living in West Virginia with my husband and 2 girls. Our boy is grown and now lives away from home. My studio is located in our home, a small room made perfect for me. This is a place where you will find me dreaming, listening to music, sipping coffee, lemon water and of course painting.

Painting allows me to share the beauty that I see in this world bringing peace and gratitude to my soul.
Growing up I was surrounded by creativity, my mom an artist and teacher and my dad always using his hands to create and eventually made beautiful wood pieces.
I studied art for a couple of years and then happily married. We were young and in love. While my husband accepted his first job in ministry working with teenagers I dedicated my time to being a wife, starting a family and making a home. It has been a crazy and beautiful adventure.
I have always looked for ways to use my hands fulfilling the desire to create and express myself as well as help provide financially for our family. I began to make a little bit of everything, anything that I thought was lovely and would sell, decor for the home. I have had my work in numerous markets and shops and have held workshops in our home teaching adults and children, hoping to inspire others to use their hands and create.
In 2014, after the loss of my dad, I decided to use my creativity and take things in a new direction. I purchased my paint, brushes and canvases and began painting. I fell in love with the process and began to share a few of my pieces with others and online. I was then asked if I would be willing to put my art in a few shops. This was pure motivation and so I began to paint more and more. Many of my beginning paintings were memories from my childhood or things I found lovely and that encouraged me.
I continue to paint and explore styles and techniques. My painting style is described as a mix between realistic and impressionistic and I have recently dabbled in abstract. I love the process of painting and desire to continue to learn and grow. I recently took an art class from one of my favorite modern day artists and loved all that I learned. I plan to continue enhancing my growth while remembering that progress is quiet and slow.

I am self represented and ship directly from my studio in Charleston. You will also find a few of my pieces in the Kirklands Home Store. Thank you for following along on this beautiful journey as an artist. For a closer look into my studio follow me on Instagram. Please say hello and email me with any questions!
Sincerely,
